Round glass domes come in a variety of sizes. We stock round glass domes starting at 1 7\/8\u201d, 3\u201d, 4\u201d, 4 \u00bd\u201d,5 \u00bd\u201d, 8\u201d, 10\u201d, 12\u201d and 15\u201d. We also have sizes in between in some cases to fit special applications.<\/p>\n

Rectangular glass domes were frequently used to cover clocks and other items. They are more difficult to make and are hard to find. These are frequently sold with a footed marble base with either a raised center for the dome to fit over or a groove for the dome to sit in.\u00a0\u00a0 Sometime the raised center is wood and is covered with velvet for a very pleasing appearance.<\/p>\n
It is hard to believe but many of our customers who have an clock with a glass dome over take the antique glass dome off to wind the clock and sit the dome on the floor and then walk into it and break the antique dome.<\/p>\n
