Antique round glass domes are domes that may date back 100 years or more. Many are Victorian glass domes. Antique glass domes come from a variety of countries and we import them from all over the world to provide a service to you.<\/p>\n

Many of the antique round glass domes covered clocks, dolls, taxidermy, birds, flowers and scientific instruments.<\/p>\n

Most antique glass domes have a gold or brownish tape on the bottom. This tape has two effects, first it covers any minor chipping created when the dome is cut to size and second it provides a slight cushion when the dome is placed in position.<\/p>\n

A common display in Europe is to make a plaster mold of a childs hand and wrist and place it under a glass dome. These displays were very popular in Victorian times.<\/p>\n
